How to Enable Audience Measurement in the SignMetrix Panel?

💡 Note: If you want to enable Audience Measurement for multiple displays, please contact SignMetrix Support to activate it in bulk.

Step 1: Log in to Your SignMetrix Account

1. Go to SignMetrix.com.
2. Click Login in the top-right corner.
3. Enter your username and password to access your dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Device Management

1. In the left-hand menu, click Device Management.
2. Locate the display you want to enable Audience Measurement for.
3. Click the device name to open its configuration panel.

Step 3: Enable SmartCircle

1. Click Settings → SmartCircle.
2. Toggle Enable SmartCircle to the ON position.
3. This activates Audience Measurement for the selected display.

Step 4: Configure Audience Circles

You can define up to three logical measurement circles that represent different audience proximity levels. Range from 5 to 300 feet.

📏 Example:
If your display is near a deli counter:

• Set 1st Circle Impression radius to 10 ft 
• Set 2nd Circle Opportunity to See (OTS) radius   to 20 ft
• Set 3rd Circle Walk-by radius to 50 ft

You can adjust these distances anytime depending on your store layout.

Step 5: Configure Fixed Device Detection (Grace Period)

When SmartCircle is activated, SignMetrix’s Intelligent System starts a grace period to detect and filter out fixed Bluetooth devices (like nearby tablets, POS systems, or smart sensors).
This ensures accurate audience measurement focused only on human movement.

• Default Fixed Device Detect Duration: 1800 seconds (30 minutes)
• During this period, the system identifies and excludes permanently present devices from analytics.
• You can adjust this duration at:
  Settings → SmartCircle → Fixed Device Detect Duration

⚙️ Recommendation:
Keep the default value (1800 seconds) for optimal calibration accuracy.

Step 6: Save and Update Your Device

1. Click OK to confirm your settings.
2. Click Update Device Remotely to apply the configuration to your display.

Step 7: View Real-Time and Summary Reports

After the grace period ends, you’ll begin to see live audience analytics.

• Real-Time Data:
  Go to Reports → Impact Reports to view ongoing audience detection activity.
• Daily Summary Reports:
  The SignMetrix Intelligent Agent processes all data nightly at midnight.
  Refined results appear the next day in Dashboard → Impact View for accurate daily insights.

📊 Tip:
Daily summaries combine SmartCircle data with SignMetrix analytics for a complete performance view of your displays.
